Married, 2 children, 2 grand children. My 9 year old grand-daughter is convinced she is a runner.  My 4 year old grandson loves to wear his Boston Marathon and Pikes Peak Marathon t-shirts.  He wants to run the mountain with grandpa.

Resting heart rate this morning was 46.5 (93 for 2 minute measure).  Right plantar tendon feels reasonably okay after the 20 mile run yesterday.  These are good signs.  I'm still doing 7mg prednisone medication per day for the PMR.  The doctor said to stay at 7mg per day until I get through with the Boston Marathon, and then drop to 6mg per day while I train for Pikes Peak.

Ran at McNeil HS with Donnie's speed group.  2 miles with Daniel and had a great talk.  His first night at the track since completing his first marathon.  Ran the workout with John.  1000M, 500M, and 4 each 400M.

Resting heart rate this morning was 45.5.  Amazing.  This is the lowest resting HR I have had since I started running as far as I know.

Boston is 2 months minus 1 week away.  I plan to qualify for next year's Boston at this year's Boston.

7mg Prednisone.  Feeling pretty good.  Right plantar was pretty good tonight.  Feels okay right now.

Very warm night in Texas.  Ran at Florence HS.  Took off singlet after 2 miles, hot and sweaty.  Beautiful sunset with purple pink clouds.  Right plantar tendon felt pretty good.  Still on 7mg prednisone.
Registration for Pikes Peak Marathon is at 9:00 Central time in the morning.  Have to get signed up right at 9:00.  I'll bet registration fills up in 4 hours this year.

Temps in the low 60's.  Ran at Florence HS.  2 easy miles, 2 marathon pace miles.  Boston is only 1 1/2 months away.

Tried getting registered to the Pikes Peak Marathon through the Active.com web site today, and like thousands of others, the Active.com site crashed and totally messed up the entire registration process.  The Pikes Peak committee is trying to figure out a reasonably fair solution.

Strongest workout in the last 18 months.  Ran with Karen H., Tam, and Joe on the way up to Mt. Bonnell, then Joe fell back on the way down from Mt. Bonnell.

Ran Mt. Bonnell 10 mile loop, then the 3 mile Townlake People Bridge loop.  Pushing up Mt. Bonnell I got my heart rate up to 171.  The strongest push up Mt. Bonnell in a couple of years.  Then we pushed the pace the rest of the way.  Boston is only 6 weeks away.  Our goal today was to give it a push for Boston preparation.  Karen H. and I are both doing Boston again this year.  Karen's 3rd in a row, my 7th.

Still doing 7mg prednisone medication per day.  Right plantar tendon handled today's run really well.  Karen H., Lynn, and I went to Maudie's for breakfast after the run.
