Married, 2 children, 2 grand children. My 9 year old grand-daughter is convinced she is a runner.  My 4 year old grandson loves to wear his Boston Marathon and Pikes Peak Marathon t-shirts.  He wants to run the mountain with grandpa.

I ran tonight after work at Wells Branch park with Mike S., our ISO 9001 auditor.  He is in town doing the ISO 14001 audit.  Nice temps in the low 80's with low humidity, just a nice evening.  It has been 4 days since St. George and the right heel did not have any pain at all, no bruise feeling which is very good.

After our run I did my push-up routine and felt great with that too.  A nice start back to running.  I'm making my plans for how I will change my running prep for 2009 Boston.  I'm thinking about a focus on tempo runs on Wednesday night runs and a focus on finishing the long weekend runs with a marathon pace push on the last few miles of each long run.  I'm also going to develop a leg strength routine on the workout bench.  And finally I'm going to develop a sit-up routine similar to my push-up routine.  This feels like a fresh beginning.
