After a week of recovery it sure felt good to get out and get in a run. I went to Brushy Creek and got in a mile warmup and then we did drills and then did the mid distance loop running faster with each loop.
One problem, my running shoes did not have their insole in them because I had taken the insoles out after getting wet running St. George Marathon. So after a recovery week for the tender heel of course running without insoles has tenderized the heel again, duh.
Anyway it sure felt good to get back out.
One other thing. After St. George I reduced my prednisone medication down to 2 mg a day, however by the end of the week the pain in the back and neck was getting quite bad so I increased the prednisone dosage to 4 mg on Saturday and then up to 5 mg on Tuesday. Darn, I had been hoping that the Polymyalgia Rheumatica had healed enough to get down to 2 mg of medication. Oh, well. |
