A nice warm evening in Georgetown, TX. I met Tom at 5:00 PM at the parking lot near the Lake Georgetown dam. Tom had to be back by 1 hr 30 min, so we went on a discovery trail run along the northeast side of the lake. A nice challenging trail with rocks and roots and tree branches and all with enough up and down running to make this a good challenging run.
We pushed the pace at 10 minute segments and then took a 1 minute recovery walk, and repeated this for the entire run. By the time we finished I could really feel it in the upper legs. A great workout. We will probably do this kind of running on most Wednesday's as part of the Pikes Peak Marathon training. |
