What a beautiful running evening at Brushy Creek. I got in 3 warmup miles on the trail across the dam and down the other side and back, a nice warmup. Then Bill led us in drills, we had 24 of us there tonight, a big group for the Wednesday night bunch.
For the workout Bill had us run a figure 8 on the Brushy Creek trails. Each loop was 0.9 miles long. I ran the first two loops with a couple of other runners and did 6:45 and 6:42, then I took off on my own for the last two loops and did 6:17 and 6:21. These last two felt like I was running at a 6:45 pace which proved to be a great workout. This was two runs in a row where I knew I had "worked" good. Monday evening with Karen was a "work" night as well. Felt really good to work like this and to feel good going away.
